New York, June 24, 2010 - Northport High School Alumni, Marisa Vitali, has a supporting role in the feature film “Trooper.” Marisa Vitali plays (title of role), a young wife/caretaker of her disabled Iraqi war vet husband. The film reveals a side of the war that is often neglected and not talked about.
“Trooper” was honored with the BRONZE REMI at the Houston International Film Festival and will screen at the Philadelphia Film Festival this Friday. Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen has donated songs gratis for the soundtrack.
Director Chris Martini had this to say about working with Marisa Vitali, “When I saw Marisa in a short film on her reel I knew she was a natural. I was looking for a very underplayed performance. Marisa showed up on set prepared- we had not rehearsed because of the hectic production schedule. Marisa delivered with depth and subtlety, better than I could have ever imagined her to be". |
